Lisa on the Issues
-
Cost of Living and Quality of Life
The rising cost of living is crushing families. We need to cut taxes like property and sales to save working families money and hold utilities like Eversource accountable for price hikes. I’ll secure funding to upgrade our farms, parks, and bodies of water.
-
Housing and Education
While greedy developers are making millions, families are losing their homes. I’ll focus on reasonably priced housing, eliminating the renter broker fee, and supporting first time homebuyers. Expand vocational education seats to create a pipe-line to good paying jobs.
-
Immigration and Transparency
While violent criminals have to be deported, we have to ensure hard working families can contribute to the economy and pay taxes. I know the Statehouse is broken. I’ll fight for greater transparency, accountability, and auditing of the government to save taxpayer money.
-
Federal Cuts and Veterans
Federal funding cuts are threatening vital programs for veterans like personal care attendants, programs to end veteran homelessness, and VA healthcare. I will make sure that the state steps up and never balances the budget on the backs of those who have served.
-
Small Business and Transportation
Local entrepreneurs need the freedom and the support to start and grow successful businesses. I’ll file legislation to expand state grants and cut red tape. We have to protect the recent upgrades to the commuter rail line and ensure it is reliable and funded long-term.

Seniors and Healthcare
I’ll oppose cuts to medicare including assisted living facilities, day programs, and personal care attendants. When it comes to health care, I’ve never backed down. I’ve taken on corporations like Steward to save Morton hospital and held leadership accountable when cutting healthcare.
